:: Movie review :: SepeT
=====================

Sepet is a true Malaysian film that i've been waiting all these days. After a few months waiting for it to be release to the public, finally my patience have been pay off last weekend. The storyline is so simple, but the cinematography was so brilliant. Like her petronas tv commercial that we've been watching before this, we know every story Yasmin try to deliver to us must be a happy ones plus heartrending that goes straight to our heart.
For a while, i've been thinking , it doesn't need us to spend too much money to have a really good film like this. We've been always "di-propaganda-kan", if we want to have a good movies like Hollywood nor Bollywood, we should have a lots of fund etc etc etc. But what the heck! It's all crap..
Back to the movie review, to those who didn't watch the movie yet, i am suggesting you guys go and watch the movie by yourself. It was so damn good. Eventhough i'm not a fanatic movie goer, there's something telling me that i should watch this movie.. and for me, it's was worth it to pay RM10 for 1 hour and 50 minutes just to watch this movie. Seriously, you won't regret it. ;)
Sepet is another piece of arts from Yasmin Ahmad which look at interracial relationship between Jason@ Ah Long with Orked, but this is not the kind of interracial realtionship that we've been feed with all these while. Usually whenever we watch a malay film about a different races in a relationship,there was always seem a problem and crisis or dramatic effect in that film but that's not what is Sepet is all about. Sepet brings us to see the interracial relationship in different segment and perspective. How wonderful and harmonize it was to have 2 different culture and religion sharing the same feeling and idea. Was that great huh??? :)
Hmm ..to know more details about the film, i suggest you to go and watch it at the cinema.. and for me, this film potrayed the reality that being hidden from us all this while.. and it was a natural, sincere and a true malaysian-based film that we should support and proud of!!
well done to Yasmin Ahmad and teams ! :)
